Welcome to Heron Landing Golf Course, a championship-level golf destination located in beautiful Fort Frances, Ontario. Established in 2003 and proudly owned and operated by Couchiching First Nation, our course provides a serene and inspiring setting where golfers of all skill levels can challenge themselves, improve their game, and reconnect with nature.
Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just getting started, Heron Landing offers a course that is both accessible and rewarding. Our 18-hole semi-private course spans an impressive 7,136 yards from the longest tees, featuring a slope rating of 133 and a USGA rating of 75.3. With five sets of tees, every golfer can find the perfect challenge.

Course Rules

No outside alcohol will be permitted on site! In order to protect our License we reserve the right to confiscate any alcohol brought illegally on site.

There will be a maximum of 4 (FOUR) Golfers and 2 (TWO) golf carts per group unless Specific Permission is given from the Pro Shop.

All Players are required to start on Hole #1 unless Specific instruction is given for Tournaments or other group outings.

Dress Code

All Men must wear Shirts with Sleeves at all times; as well Pants must be no shorter than 3 inches above the knee.

For your safety shoes must be worn at all times and must be appropriate for golf.

All Women must wear Pants or Skirts that are appropriate length, as well all shirts must cover to the belt line of your pants or skirt.

Golf appropriate shoes must be worn at all times for your safety.

Pace of Play is 4 hours for 18 holes: If you are moving at a slower pace please allow faster players to play through.

Driving Range Balls are not to be removed from the practice area, doing so will be considered theft and legal action may be taken.

All players must register in the Pro Shop prior to their round commencing.

Golf carts must follow all Cart Paths and direction signage including ropes at all times. Failure to do so may result in your playing privileges being revoked for a time.

Please repair all ball marks on the greens, replace all divots and rake all sand traps throughout the golf course.

Please respect the golf course by using the garbage cans located around the golf course as well as near the clubhouse.

Heron Landing Golf Course plays under all RCGA Rules except where modified by local rules. See Scorecard for Local Rules.

The Maintenance Staff has the right of way! Please refrain from hitting golf balls at them as they will be out of your way fairly quickly. If doing a job that will require some time they will wave your shot up when they are clear.
